Von Stimme zu Stimme: Musik, Stimme und Transkulturalität

Ausgehend vom Festivalmotto Shifting Voices widmet sich dieser Paneltalk der Stimme als etwas, das sich stets in Bewegung befindet: Als Trägerin von Erinnerung, Geschichte und Identität nimmt sie neue Einflüsse auf und verändert sich.

Zusammen mit den Gästinnen Darsy Flores und Rosa Rau erkunden wir die wandelbaren Seiten der menschlichen Stimme. Dabei geht es nicht nur um die Frage, wie Stimmen in Sprache und Tradition verwurzelt sind, sondern auch, wie sie sich durch Migration und musikalische Einflüsse verändern.

Anhand des Festivalprogramms erkunden wir gemeinsam, was geschieht, wenn unterschiedliche musikalische und vokale Traditionen aufeinandertreffen. Wo und wie entstehen neue Ausdrucksformen? Welche Chancen, aber auch welche Herausforderungen bringt kultureller Austausch mit sich?

Rosa Rau ist Sängern sowie Übersetzerin und macht transkulturelle Bildungsarbeit.
Darsy Flores ist Sängerin und Chorleiterin. Sie ist Mezzosopranistin im Gewandhauschor.

From Voice to Voice: Music, Voice and Transculturality

Based on the festival’s theme, Shifting Voices, this panel discussion explores the voice as something that’s constantly in motion: as a vehicle for memory, history and identity, it absorbs new influences and evolves.

Together with our guests Darsy Flores and Rosa Rau, we’ll explore the malleable nature of the human voice. We’ll address not only how voices are rooted in language and tradition, but also how they change through migration and musical influences.

Guided by the festival program, we’ll explore what happens when different musical and vocal traditions come together. Where and how do new forms of expression emerge? What kind of opportunities — but also challenges — does cultural exchange bring?
