Peixe e Limão

So 13 Sep 2026
18:30

13. September 2026 | 18:30 – 19:30

Auszeichnung:

If Brussels had a signature sound – just as Lisbon has its fado or Buenos Aires its tango – it would probably be Peixe e Limão.

With their warm, melancholic voices, the trio sings about life in the city – in several languages and as a reflection of the soul of the European capital, a true melting pot of sounds, flavors, and cultures. Just like the cosmopolitan city of Brussels, the adventurous ensemble enriches its repertoire with influences from around the world: from bossa nova and flamenco to Irish folk, skillfully woven together with deeply personal songs.

The three musicians complement each other in a unique way. Federico Bragetti plays the cello in an extraordinary style: he uses it not only as a melodic or bass instrument, but also as percussion, giving Peixe e Limão’s soundscapes an exceptional depth.

His Italian colleague Flavia Clementi is a natural-born singer. She began singing quite spontaneously and possesses that rare combination of natural musicality and vocal warmth that captivates audiences from the very first moment.

Completing the trio is Thomas Van Bogaert from Bruges, a classically trained guitarist with a special feel for melodies that linger long after the music ends.

Out of their shared trust, their debut album SALTA! was born. Its songs are about love without kitsch, migration without heroic myths, loneliness, exhaustion, and the longing to keep dreaming despite all our fears. Powerful, profound, and deeply moving, the album brings together different languages and musical worlds to create a sound that is both intimate and universal.

Peixe e Limão’s music touches on the essence of what it means to be human. Their songs create a sense of closeness, speak of vulnerability, and remind us of what connects us.
