Beim Circle Singing entstehen aus einzelnen musikalischen Phrasen Loops und Variationen\, ganz ohne Noten oder feste Rollen. \n\n\n\nIm Mittelpunkt steht nicht das fertige Musikstück\, sondern die gemeinsame Gestaltung: Alle hören zu\, reagieren und improvisieren im Moment. Deswegen zählt jede Stimme\, unabhängig von musikalischer Bildung und Erfahrung. Der Sänger und Balafonspieler verbindet die Mandingue- und Soussou-Traditionen aus Guinea mit zeitgenössischen Einflüssen. The singer and balafon player combines the Mandingue and Soussou traditions of Guinea with contemporary influences. Aus diesem politischen und kulturellen Moment heraus wurde die Band in Berlin gegründet und bringt seitdem ihren lebendigen Sound auf Bühnen in der ganzen Stadt. \n\n\n\nLa Cura hat bereits auf einer Vielzahl von Festivals und Konzertreihen in Berlin gespielt und die Energie und Vielfalt der kolumbianischen Musik einem breiten Publikum vermittelt. \n\n\n\nLa Cura ist eine musikalische Reise durch die Wurzeln und Traditionen Kolumbiens. Bis heute spielen sie im gesellschaftlichen Lieben vieler westafrikanischer Gemeinschaften eine wichtige Rolle. \n\n\n\nDie Musik der Griots ist eng mit der Manding-Kultur Westafrikas verbunden\, die heute Regionen in u.a. Guinea\, Mali\, Gambia und Senegal prägt. Die Manding-Musik verbindet Gesang mit Instrumenten wie Kora – der westafrikanischen Stegharfe – und Balafon – einem pentatonischen Holzxylophon. \n\n\n\nStudiert mit dem Griot/den Griots [NAME(N) EINFÜGEN] ein traditionelles westafrikanisches Stück als Gruppe im Chor ein.  \n\n\n\nWer möchte\, kann dazu selbst zum Balafon greifen und das Stück begleiten.  \n\n\n\nKommt dazu und taucht ein in die erzählerisch-musikalische Welt des Griotentums! \n\n\n\n// \n\n\n\nGriots are the guardians of a centuries-old tradition: they preserve history\, memory and knowledge\, passing them down over generations through song and storytelling. To this day\, they play an important role in the social life of many West African communities. \n\n\n\nThe music of the griots is closely linked to the Mandinka culture of West Africa\, which today shapes regions in Guinea\, Mali\, Gambia\, Senegal and other countries. So-called Mandinka music combines singing with instruments such as the kora — the West African bridge harp — and the balafon — a pentatonic wooden xylophone. \n\n\n\nRehearse a traditional West African piece as a group with the griot Sory Diabaté in a choir setting. \n\n\n\nYou can also pick up a balafon and accompany the piece. \n\n\n\nCome join us and immerse yourself in the narrative and musical world of the griots!

Deswegen zählt jede Stimme\, unabhängig von musikalischer Bildung und Erfahrung. Genau wie die weltoffene Metropole Brüssel bereichert das abenteuerlustige Ensemble sein Repertoire mit Einflüssen aus aller Welt: von Bossa Nova über Flamenco bis hin zu irischem Folk\, kunstvoll verwoben mit zutiefst persönlichen Liedern. \n\n\n\nDie drei Musiker:innen ergänzen sich auf besondere Weise.
